MSi increasese saw cutting capabilities |

 MSi has installed a Marvel 25 vertical band saw to increase the cutting capacity of our metallurgical testing laboratory. The 1-1/2” blade is powered by a hydraulic feed system that is the most powerful of all vertical saws. Four hydraulic vises and an extra large working table enable the saw to cut bars up 17” in diameter. The saw can also accommodate a carbide blade that has sectioned induction hardened 12” diameter material with a hardness of 60 HRC. Our metal test lab now has eleven band saws to provide the quickest turn-around of any metallurgical testing laboratory. MSi’s machine shop operates two shifts, so that testing received late afternoon can be machined and tested overnight. The test report can be issued as early as the next morning, to meet the most critical turn-around requirements. MSi is always upgrading equipment in order to be a leader in metallurgical testing.
