3rd Party Referee - Legal Inspection Facility
As one of the largest independent
metallurgical laboratories in the US our metal testing laboratory is routinely host to legal inspections where multiple parties are required to witness testing as determined by court appointed protocol. Our facility has capabilities to host large inspections of ten or more experts with multiple conference rooms to keep all of the metallurgical consultants and their respective attorneys into separate areas for private consultations. Our facilities also include a scanning electron microscope with a full time operator, complete machine shop, chemical and metallographic capabilities so all required testing can be completed under one roof.
Scanning Electron Microscopy
The heart of all failure analysis and corrosion failure analysis investigations is our SEM EDS system. Our SEM department has over 30 years of experience identifying the following failure mechanisms:
• Ductile & Brittle Fractures
• Microbiological Corrosion
• Marine Corrosion
• Wear
• Cavitation
• Erosion
• Intergranular corrosion
• Overload
• Crevice Corrosion
• Stress Corrosion
• Galvanic Corrosion
• Hydrogen Embrittlement
• Pitting Corrosion
• Intergranular Fractures
• Fatigue
